Not your average school club, Fatima Musician’s Guild, continues to develop talented young musicians in the east and beyond.
Fatima Musician’s Guild (FMG), is a collective of talented music players at Our Lady of Fatima Antipolo Campus, located at Sumulong Hi-way, Antipolo City.
Established back in 2017, with its current president Loise Julia Herrera, the main objective of the school organization is to harness and mold young musicians, in creating and mastering their talents and craft whether it’s in songwriting or instrument playing.
They believe that music education for young students has great benefits for the young minds of the students. Studies show that music has a positive impact on a student’s academic performance, development of social skills and creation of a unique outlet for the students which is a big help to their mental health. Music organizations like FMG help in building students’ confidence through events, acoustic nights and other activities.
Another important benefit of this music organization is that they can communicate with their fellow students and transcend the limits of language. Music has no language barrier, whether you are a Bicolano, Cebuano or a local of manila; it connects us all.
It is something that brings people together regardless of ethnicity or background. Music organizations in schools and campuses are a very powerful part of one’s youth, empowering their confidence in a dramatic boost by meeting people with the same passion as yours that you can easily relate to.
FMG recognize talent from these young upcoming musicians. Some of them may be the next Ely Buendia, Rico Blanco or Chito Miranda. The future is yet to come.
