Formed in the late 1970s, VST & Company became pioneers of the Manila Sound genre, revolutionizing Filipino music and leaving an indelible mark on the industry. Through their funky sound and captivating performances, VST & Company played a vital role in shaping the music landscape in the Philippines.

The Birth of Manila Sound

In the late 1970s, the Philippines experienced a musical transformation with the emergence of a new genre called Manila Sound. This unique genre combined elements of disco, funk, and pop, incorporating both Filipino and Western influences. VST & Company, became one of the leading bands that defined the Manila Sound movement.

VST & Company was founded by brothers Vic Sotto and Tito Sotto together with Spanky Rigor. Alongside with the trio are Male Rigor, Roger Rigor, Celso Llarina, Monet Gaskell, Val Sotto, and Jun Medina. Their remarkable chemistry and musical prowess were evident in their catchy melodies, tight harmonies, and stage presence.
